Fish Lake Tours

There was a ramp that you could use the cart to go in and out on 1st Floor. Outside the door it was really dirty, full debris. Cleaning staff was great. The front desk told us we could only park and go in without steps facing the lakeside. There were cars and bright lights. Turns out we could have had room in back without any steps. Great value for the price but not a super nice facility. Breakfast room and area not great. Nothing non dairy. BEST thing was lots of bananas! Good location.

A well appointed, nice room. Liked the historical nature of the hotel. However, the bed was most uncomfortable. Very hard to get a good nights sleep as I have a bad back and knees. Also, though the bathroom was spacious, the shower was so small I could barely turn around in it.

The rooms themselves are very cute and nicely decorated. It was overall pretty clean, just some extra bugs in the fold out couch that my daughter had to sleep on. I was disappointed that the fold out couch itself was the width of a twin bed; so my son slept on the floor. I had indicated 4 guests. There were extra sheets and blankets provided, but only for the couch. Luckily, we had our own. The air also did not keep up; luckily its Duluth so as long as we kept our windows open there was a nice breeze for sleeping at night. Just the first night when we arrived it took quite a while to cool down. There was an issue with the check-in text I was supposed to receive- it didn't load correctly or something, so I had to call anyway. Overall I love the property and the whole set up; the location is unmatched; and the free parking included is a HUGE bonus for Canal Park. They obviously had a lot of extras to give it a personal touch, which we appreciate.
