While the location was convenient and the room itself was in good condition, the service and amenities were a let-down. We were disappointed to learn at check-in that there would be no room service on Sunday. This meant no fresh towels, no bed-making and no garbage collection. We also ran out of toiletries, which was frustrating for a holiday stay. There were also basic logistical issues with the room. Although I booked for three people and the room could fit four, all cutlery, plates and cups were provided for only two. When I asked for more, the staff seemed surprised, which did not make sense. Furthermore, despite the room having a fridge and microwave, there was no table to eat at. One quarter of the room was taken up with a bathtub spa, the sofa was on the same wall as the tv so no watching tv from the sofa. The shower had a flimsy cloth shower curtain. Room was clean but bathroom looked tired. Der Empfang war professionell. Wir hatten ein Motelzimmer im hinteren Bereich (Nr. 24 - 29). Es war sehr ruhig, mit Blick ins Grüne und Parkplatz vor der Tür. Je 2 Zimmer teilen sich einen Tisch und 2 Stühle vor der Tür. Die Ausstattung war für ein Motel gut, das Bett für uns zu weich und durchgelegen, für 1 bis 2 Nächte ok. Es war sauber und wurde täglich gereinigt und auch die Kaffee-/Teebeutel wurden aufgefüllt. Bemängeln würden wir die (Regen-)Dusche. Sie hat eine Glastür die nur 1,50 cm hoch ist. Somit ist nach dem Duschen das halbe Bad nass. Der Fussweg in die City (abends sehr dunkel) beträgt 15 bis 20 Min, wir haben das Auto mitgenommen. Es gibt einen kostenfreien Parkplatz neben dem Infocenter. Das Motel hat ein Restaurant, welches zum Frühstück und auch abends geöffnet ist. Die wenigen Restaurants in Foster schließen zwischen 2 pm und 4 pm. Das Exchange Hotel auf der Hauptstrasse hat ein Bistro, was wir sehr empfehlen können. Es schließt um 8:30 pm. Wir würden selbst auch wieder in diesem Motel wohnen. Der Nationalpark, besonders der Wildlife-Trail ist großartig, allerdings erst ab ca. 5:30 pm. Vormittags haben wir - ausser Vögel - keine Tiere gesehen. Am späten Nachmittag waren wir wirklich begeistert. Accommodation was spacious and clean with plenty of amenities. Check in and out was easy and quick. Grounds were lovely with gardens and birdlife. Restaurant food and staff were amazing. Location ideal with easy access to highway and a walk to fruit shop. We had a great stay.
