Tatenda - meaning 'Thank you' in a South African dialect - is an 8,500 sq ft luxury home on Grand Cayman's prestigious South Sound and offers a remarkable and relaxing vacation.  
  
This listing provides for rental of Main Home plus the Carriage House apartment for a total of 7 bedrooms that can sleep 18 people in beds and up to 20 if including the convertible futon/sofas. Smaller group size? See our listing for the 6-bedroom main home only.  
  
Within the 7 bedrooms is 5 King bedrooms all with ensuite baths.  
  
Gathering and entertaining areas are located through-out the villa and are furnished to the highest of standards and still comfortable. Villa highlights:  
  
Bedroom 1 - Lower Level King Suite - King bed, ocean view, doors leading directly to the pool terrace, cable TV, bath with tub/shower combo.

\*Please note:  
Tatenda, like many villas along South Sound, Bodden Town, East End, etc. has a shallow beach entry with silt and seagrass for the first 50-75' from shore. South Sound can also experience the same seasonal sargassum that affects most of the Caribbean. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating, red seagrass that is more unsightly than anything. Fortunately, the Seven Mile Beach area (SMB) of Grand Cayman does not ordinarily see sargassum accumulation. All beaches in Cayman are public up to the high-water mark so guests can visit the beautiful beach areas along SMB for sandy, walk-in swimming if the beach entry is not to your liking. Cayman is a friendly and generally safe island so you'll want to visit many different beaches during your stay. Smith Cove, Governor's Beach, Tiki Beach, Public Beach, etc. are are excellent beaches to visit and offer the beautiful swim in water.

#### Well appointed home with short drive to town

We loved our time at Tatenda. The bedrooms were well suited for multi family groups. Loved the double washers and plentiful beach towels and good amenities and paddle board. My only disappointment was the beach not being as clear of water as I had hoped but the view and time was great nonetheless.

#### Large family gathering

Our large family of 16 stayed at Tatenda for a week at New Years. We had a wonderful stay. The house had enough beds for everyone even the little ones. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking even though we ate at great restaurants most evenings. The pool was clean and large enough for our group. The beach was very accessible for the little ones. The pool deck area had lots of seating to accommodate everyone. Our only concern was the family room size where the tv is. But we should be outside in grand cayman with the amazing weather! I’d recommend this property to large extended families.

The house is stunning and the back yard experience is surreal. We loved staying at Tatenda, experiencing every imaginable luxury and we enjoyed the ocean. Our favorite ocean experience was snorkeling the shipwreck SV Pallas, a sunken three masted iron sailing ship… an easy swim from the shore. The house is exceptionally maintained and superb quality. The property manager also went out of the way to accommodate any questions, make suggestions for activities and provided white glove treatment we really appreciated. The kids and family also enjoyed that the pool was heated providing for backyard fun even first thing in the morning when it was still cool out.
