Staying on the second floor I didn’t like that the lights for the front drive shown straight into room and no dark curtains to keep light out. Also the heater leaked water all over the carpet. It was very quiet and clean though.

This unfortunately was not our best stay at a hotel. We were the only guests at the hotel the pictures were deceiving, and the last day they completely turned the water off early in the morning without warning so we had to call down and find out what the problem was. They told us that they were working on stuff and we wouldn't have water until way into the afternoon but like I said they never bothered to tell us so none of us could get showers and we had to leave early just so that we could go and brush our teeth somewhere else. Obviously they were doing work at the hotel and we were not made aware we did not see any swimming pool or anything like the pictures showed. Quite disappointing to be truthful.

If possible, we do try to provide advance notice, though this is not always feasible. It was a clean nice place to stay for the night, the breakfast was good. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only thing they could do better is put non slip pads on the inside shower floor,they are super slick you really have to watch not to slip.

Several different parts of the hotel are blocked off with black tarps and marked "unsafe structure, entry prohibited" according to the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code. We did not have hot water for 24 hours, desk attendant told us to turn on the sink and that would circulate the water...nope. cold showers the next morning. This morning we woke up to certain guests being served a hot continental breakfast and we were told that was only for a special group and we got a brown bag with applesauce and a granola bar. I asked for compensation for our troublese stay and was told no because we booked through Expedia, I left my cell phone number for the manager to contact me and did not receive a call. Please don't reply here saying "sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, we hope ...." If you are truly sorry please contact me directly and I can update this post reflecting that within 24 hrs. The pool was nice.

In the meantime, our maintenance staff is working to repair the issue with the hot water. Our standard breakfast is fairly simple, and our staff is always happy to provide recommendations for any guest wishing to have a more robust meal. I hope that you are satisfied with the resolution when you call and that you will come back and visit us for a superior stay next time.

Recommend
We are freauent travelers to Gettysburg and we always stay at The Aspire. Rooms are clean, shower is hot and the beds are really comfortable. They offer a nice breakfast and the staff is always friendly.

One of the best Hotels I have ever stayed at. could use some paper in the rooms to write notes. In the double rooms could use another chair with maybe a small table between I sat at desk in that chair while hubby sat in chair by window sleeps 4 but only 2 can sit far apart. Otherwise the place is beautiful food great and we will be back again.

I thought my room had a bathtub only the handicapped access rooms have them. I had to contact a manager to get my room changed. The ceiling tile in the bathroom was stained and the shower curtain was dingy and yellow orange on the bottom.

Excellent place
Hotel was very nice. Great price. Beds was super comfortable and the shower was perfect. We never heard a noise in this place. Located just far enough to avoid traffic but close enough for a couple minute drive to all Gettysburg has to offer. We will definitely be back here

Pretty mediocre honestly, I wasn’t very impressed. Location was good, only 10 mins from downtown. But the room wasn’t very comfortable. I didn’t even get the room I booked for. The bathroom door literally hit the toilet when you tried to shut it. And the complimentary breakfast was TERRIBLE. Not somewhere I would stay again. Staff was also not too pleasant.

It’s a good basic hotel about a 10 minute drive from the historic Getttysburg town. Rooms are large but heating system is quite loud. Had drinks and a snack in the lounge and it was ok. Breakfast was ok.

No pool at this hotel
Very beautiful room and comfortable and spacious. Phone didn’t work so we had to use our cell phone to call the front desk. We called the front desk to find out where the indoor pool was(even the cleaning help didn’t know). It was in the Eisenhower hotel which was next door. Very misleading when you book this hotel. It says they have an indoor pool and restaurant. It doesn’t! That was the reason I booked the hotel. We were not going to walk next door in our swim suits. Also our room was at the end of the building so I parked down there to take our stuff up to our room. The keypad would turn green, but wouldn’t unlock. When I told the lady at the front desk about our phone and the locking mechanism malfunction. She did write down about the locking mechanism. But shrugged about the phone. The breakfast was good and they had a nice layout. To top it all off I received a charge for $154.29 from them when I booked this through Hotel.com. Called the phone number associated with the charge. And it went directly to voicemail. Not impressed with the total stay. Would not stay here again because of no swimming pool.

Nothing like the photos :(
With the exception of the sweet lady that worked in the breakfast area, the entire staff was rude. The pool area looked absolutely nothing like the pictures. The place was very run down and in need of major updates. The gym was closed which was disappointing. We were able to go to the Eisenhower but it was a tiny little 5'x7' room that smelled extremely musty and had 4 very old cardio machines.

This hotel has very large rooms. It was quite clean. We were there for a large toy soldier show, but there were also a lot of folks there for a soccer tourney, and the hotel staff handled us all with ease and professionalism.

Property was great and staff was lovely. Room fell short on amenities as the hairdryer had been removed by someone so we had to call guest services to have it replaced (done rather quickly) and only small shampoo and soaps provided. However, the coffee maker in the room was great and there were tea bags (big plus!) and breakfast was really good. Bath and Beds were clean and pillows fluffy.
