"From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north."
"Very nice and clean room, and above all a great host who took the time to recommend us sights, restaurants, and day trips which all turned out fantastic. "
"We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Denecrest Guest House in Windermere. The host was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy, perfect for our little family.

"Our room was a Superior room, very clean and spacious.
The staff on Reception and in the dining room were friendly and helpful.
The hotel has nice grounds and plenty of car parking.
It is ideally situated for the town."
"Check-in was quick and easy - the lady who checked us in was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Our room was lovely, with a large and comfortable bed, plenty of cushions, and a peaceful, warm atmosphere. There were also tea-making facilities and a fridge, which was a nice touch.
We didn’t get a chance to try the spa or gym facilities this time, but breakfast was excellent - a great variety on offer, quick service, and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs!
The hotel’s central location was ideal for exploring Ambleside, with everything just a short walk away."
"The staff were lovely
The public toilets were very smelly.
The rooms needed tlc especially bathrooms
Horrendously uncomfortable bed and pillows. Strong smell of cleaning fluid"
