This is a very nice place because it has a traditional, yet modern Thai style. The patio area in back is gorgeous.
They offer an ample continental breakfast with good coffee, juice, fruits, toast, and Thai sweets.
I met many nice travelers at breakfast too.
I got the last room, with 2 twin beds. The mattress wasn't very comfy, but I imagine their queen beds have better mattresses. The only other complaint is that the water in the shower goes all over the bathroom floor & toilet. This is my pet peeve about Thai hotels in general.
The location is OK. It's on the other side of the railroad, so if you're on foot it can be hard to get to the main part of the city & beach. But, everything is close in Prachuap & you can still get to the city center by cutting through 2 nice markets on the way to the sea (about a 15 minute walk).
It's a very nice town!
Its Friday-Saturday night market on the waterfront is now my favorite in Thailand because they have excellent, cheap seafood, and a nice crowd of locals + a handful of foreigners.
