Property was conveniently located. Easy to access tourist attractions from property. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We weren’t too happy about having to climb so many stairs due to our room being switched from 2nd to 3rd floor b/c our room door would not lock.

This was a cute, small hotel that was very convenient to the beach, restaurants and convenient stores. The staff (Francisco and Marco) were very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a nice stay and would revisit this property.

2 clubs across the street noisy especially during Wednesdays ladies night, stairs to apartment were narrow and get condensation if its too hot out or rains becoming slippery (I fell once), sofa in the apt was tiny and uncomfortable, walls in master room were dirty, needs more furniture and place to hang clothing, but the apt is close to everything, reception was great and the taco truck next to the parking lot was delicious, breakfast place next door is good too. would stay again just on lower floor

Decent property, convenient location.

While I know not to have extremely high expectations in SJPR, I did expect more from Fairmont ESJ with a 4 star rating. One of the hotel receptionists was very rude to us upon arrival as we tried to make revisions to extend our stay another night. The hotel security was selectively overzealous. One of the bartenders was dismissive. The lobby area and some of the amenities and restaurants were ideal. They deserve credit for that. The hotel exterior cleanliness, especially the balcony areas, were below par. The night club played music late into the night and it was very unpleasant to hear it in our rooms until 3am. The room had dirty sheets, and very horribly tracked sliding door to the restroom, and the restroom sink stopper was broken. My wife’s bikini cover up was “taken by accident” and the protocol for finding lost items was horrible. Everything was overpriced and the resort fees are an abomination. Overall I’d say there was much left to be desired.
