Isla de la Plata is an island 40 km off the Ecuadorian coast. It's also called Galapagos for the poor, because it offers a Galapagos feel without the pricetag. It's nothing poor in terms of flora and fauna though! #ecuador #green #island #wildlife #holidays

Isla de la Plata is just off the coast of Ecuador, a short boat ride and you are to the island which is also a national park.

We saw a ton of Blue-footed boobies both adults and chicks. To be honest, the chicks and adolescents are not very handsome birds.

We did a nice hike around with a very informative guide and were even lucky enough to see a sea lion on one of the beaches and a whale on the boat ride back to port!

The property is as listed. It has all the amenities for a comfortable long stay. It was clean and Sylvie (the concierge) was helpful when we needed her.
