The room was very small for four people. We reserved a room for 4 which it had one double bed and two twin beds in one small room! I am not sure if room description really matched with the room it was given to us. I definitely won’t rate this hotel a 5-star… this hotel hardly gets a three star.

Great location, walking distance to Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc, restaurants, Grand Bazaar, shopping. Upscale hotel, very well kept, staff went out of their way to ensure a very pleasant stay. Full buffet breakfast with great Bosporus/Marmara views from the top of the 6th floor.

It's the people! From the time that I stepped in the hotel, I felt welcome! The front desk are so warm, courteous, respectful, friendly, and helpful! They tended to my needs as a guest from coordinating my event (dinner cruise), waking me up to go to the airport, arranging my taxi to the airport prior to my flight, and went above and beyond-they even packed a care package of breakfast for me since I left at 3:00 am to go to the airport!!! I will highly recommend this place and most of the guests I met in the hotel are all returning customers! I will surely come back to this hotel!!! I have been to 53 countries and stayed in many hotels but nothing compared to the care and sensitivity the staff of Sultanhan given to me! I enjoyed my stay in Istanbul because of their hotel staffs! Thank you so much and I appreciate the care!!! (P.S. Did I forget to mention that they really have the real honey beehive as a honey for breakfast?)

This place was really great overall — service was seamless, staff was nice, breakfast was good. Room was aesthetically pleasing and bed was comfortable. Only negatives are the shower head was loose, so had to prop it up and nearly got locked out on the balcony because the door caught the lock — was able to jiggle it free and luckily had my phone, but could have been bad.

The property is clean and safe. It is charming with traditional decor. The breakfast was wonderful. 24 hours coffee and tea were available. The staff were extremely helpful. They kept our luggage’s in the hotel for 10 days white we travelled to the south even though we were not returning to this hotel after our vacation. The area is so close to all the historical sites and Grand Bazar. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Extremely friendly, helpful and accomodatig staff. The breakfast was spectacular and tasty. We arrived early in the morning and were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary early check in and breakfast! Our room had a lot of space and very interesting decor. The roof top terrace, where we had an amazing breakfast buffet every morning, had a breathtaking view on the sea and a city. I would consider this hotel for our next time in Istanbul.
