“The location is great. We loved having the Old Fleece pub next door. The amenities are nice. The biggest issue with this accommodation is the lack of air flow. It can get warm and stuffy in warmer weather. There are no windows, and keeping the door open at night was not an option for us.”

“Great property - plenty of space, clean, overlooking a lake.
Fantastic communication from the hosts...we had a small issue with water - they were on it straight away.
Only small gripe was about the estate facilities... restaurant and bar closed in Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm (I think). The portal for booking water sports was not particularly user friendly...we only wanted to book 2 hours but the portal indicated the only option for 2 hours was to start at 2pm - it turned out from staff that we……

“We stayed for a mid week break in June 2025's heatwave. It was lovely to be next to the lake in the heat. There were lakes where we could paddle to cool down and let the dog walk in (on lead). The property was properly dog friendly with throws on the settees expecting dogs to climb up and no area of the house out of bounds for the dog. There are many walks around the estate (which is a nature reserve) and also on the Thames path for the dog as well as the humans.
