The Belgian F-16 fleet has 60 aircraft, of which 48 are assigned to NATO. These aircraft are centralized on two bases, Kleine Brogel and Florennes. The F-16 is a multifunctional fighter plane suitable for defensive, offensive and reconnaissance missions. Thanks to the new electronic defence equipment and a far-reaching Mid Life Update program (MLU), the F-16 remains (provisionally) operational.
In addition to missions in Europe and North Africa, Belgian F-16 carried out thousands of sorties in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.

“De eerste 2 dagen vreslijk personeel. Niet klant vriendelijk. Alles was te veel. S'avonds geen drankje of spelletje in de bar. Het persooneel stond al met jas aan om naar huis te gaan. Een dag op de dinsdag wel heel lief en vriendeljjk personeel. Toen wel een drankje en spelletje S'avonds kunnen doen De sfeer was gelijk anders. Maar de dag erna was het weer over. Wat heel jammer was. 75 min op eten wachten. Zeer warme kamer. Konden deur niet open zetten door lawaai van verkeer. Maar ook het……
