Unfortunately we didn’t make it to Stoneridge as my husband got Covid on the morning we were due to fly to QT. The response we received regarding our booking was sympathetic but unhelpful as it’s premium accommodation we didn’t get to use. Watch out for cancellation policies as everyone on our trip was very accommodating. We won’t try and rebook another time.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the service is very friendly and warm. The location affords visitors the opportunity to see lake views and wineries, but still be a short drive from Queenstown.

Amazing location, great views, our private cottage was absolutely beautiful, very private, well set out and tastefully decorated. We took advantage of having a private chef cook for us onsite with a 5 course 'trust the chef' dinner which was amazing.

Incredible customer service in the midst of covid
My husband and I were supposed to stay with Stoneridge for our anniversary bit an impromptu lockdown meant we couldn't travel. Stoneridge were incredibly accomodating refunding our dinner and organising a date transfer for our accomodation. Excellent and respect for customers in uncertain times.

My wiife and I stayed here for 3 days on our month-long honeymoon to NZ. It was the highlight of our trip. The setting of the Estate high up on a hill over looking Lake Hayes was simply stunning. The service from both Giselle and Emily was fantastic, personal and attentive. We met the owner, who gave us a lift to collect our rental car. She was so welcoming and offered many suggestions of things to do in the area. We stayed in the Coronet Suite which had a balcony that opened onto the stunning view of Lake Hayes and the surrounding mountains. I would highly recommend this room. The room also had a raised window seat, allowing us the opportunity to sit and take in the beautiful views each day. The estate also provides a pool and outdoor hot tub which was a lovely touch. On our final day we strolled the grounds, the quaint chapel and gardens to the winery, where we enjoyed a beautiful cheeseboard & accompanied wines. I could not recommend this property more highly. It’s located 20 mins outside the thronged streets of Queenstown (which we loved) but a car would be advisable as a result, as a taxi would be upwards of $40 one way.

Very close to both Queenstown and Arrowtown. Staff brilliant and in regular contact with us. Dined at Stoneridge the first night of our stay was equal too if not better than any other meal while in NZ and we rated NZ restaurants/cafes very highly.

Great way to end our trip
We had a lovely time at Stoneridge. Complimentary cheese and wine on arrival, minibar. Room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and of course can't beat the views. We had 5 course Chef menu dinner which was devine. It was just the two of us so we felt extra special. Breakfast was also delicious. Staff are very attentive and professional. Loved our stay and would recommend to our friends.

Stunning view across lake and mountains
Property is stunning and just like all the photos and better. Amazing intricate details in the gardens with iron and wood work and pristine. We had the very large room downstairs next to pool (even though we had booked upstairs as other reviews mentioned people using pool so would never recommend this in summer) and yet even though we were there in Autumn and it has a sign saying 'private guests only' visitors were walking past in the morning when we were in bed... We did have our cheese platter (cheap basic crackers were a disappointment) and glass of wine served at the hot tub as sun went down which was a lovely experience - however we have to take our own towels and therefore then ask for more towels for bathroom as you only get 1 towel each. When asked the staff for 4 towels in total the reply was 'we will try' - ? Rather than of course no problem. Breakfast was below expectations - served frozen hash browns which were undercooked, fatty slice of undercooked bacon, never asked if we wanted anything else or how it was, never asked if we wanted another coffee or tea - both days the same. Little things in room, the cheap towels, 1 small bathmat, cheap toiletries, cheap tissues just in their box (not in a nice cover), dressing gowns nice but not really warm. Despite it being my Birthday on the day of 1 of the stays and letting this be known in advance there was zero acknowledgement of this on the day. The whole thing left us feeling very flat sadly.
