The Taiping Zoo has a ton of animals and is a pretty neat place to visit. The cages are not necessarily comforting and we were definitely scared the animals could escape more than once. For example, as I took this photo, Marty was walking briskly away from the tiger enclousure, telling me to follow him immediately due to the lack of barriers between him and us. Monkeys roam free throughout the entire zoo- we assume they were wild but who knows. Luckily we made it out alive! But don't let that deter you, it is an rather unique, fun, exhilarating experience to say the least.

This sleepy fishing village is a really cool place to see. Near the tiny market in the middle of the village is a concrete walking/scooter bridge that crosses the river. This is where I took this photo and is the best place to see the heart of the village.
