“​I always aim to provide fair feedback, but the severe breakdown in communication and standards during this stay must be addressed. ​Despite booking and paying nearly a week in advance, check-in was unacceptable. The host promised check-in details 4 hours prior to arrival. After two long flights, no credentials had been sent, building security had no record of our reservation, and the host was completely unresponsive to Hotels.com customer service agents trying to intervene. “We stayed for one night as a family of five. Unfortunately, the room had a very strong smell of fresh paint, which the gentleman at reception did mention. However, with no windows or proper ventilation, the fumes were overwhelming and negatively affected our stay. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable. I hope the hotel ensures newly painted rooms are properly ventilated before assigning them to guests.”
