"It is hard to put into words how great this family vacation was. The Villa Eleonora is better than the description used here on VRBO. We had 11 people, my wife and I and three children and their spouses, along with 4 grand children. The location was ideal in itself with beautiful open country in the foothills of Umbria. "Honestly we were so happy with our stay in this gorgeous home in Spello. I have no doubt that if we return to Italy, we will return to Spello and hopefully stay here again. The view from the patio was unreal and the accommodation itself was very charming. Our check in process was great, the host was so lovely with showing us around and getting us settled in. "This is a rare find; a 13th century castello, lovingly restored and converted into comfortable and atmospheric apartments. There are magnificent views across Umbria. You are within reach of Spoleto and Foligno. Only problem; finding it. I strongly suggest that anyone booking it should make sure they get a precise map, because it is in the middle of nowhere. "This house is perfect for staying with friends and family. The views are beautiful and the house is very well maintained and kitchen well stocked with all equipment required. The cupboard to help yourself to if you’d forgotten any essentials was a really lovely touch.
