We drove in the middle of night to get out of wildfire area and got this place at midnight..check in closed at 9pm but we explained our situation to the manager , and she let us stay. "This is a house that has been converted to a hotel. I did not realize that there are not on-suite bathrooms and you must use the bathroom and shower down the hall which is hard with two small children and sometime there was a wait. There is also no AC and our room was on the side that the sun would bake in the afternoon which made our room hot all night as there was no cross breeze. This made our nights pretty miserable but thankfully we were on there for two nights. The staff was very helpful...

"We stayed here for 2 nights and it was alright for what we needed it for. Nothing special. We didn’t realize just how in the middle of nowhere it would be. It’s quite remote and the country roads to get there are a bit tricky to navigate at night. We were exploring comporta for the two days that we were there but it’s about a 40 min drive so if you’re thinking of exploring comporta just keep that in mind. "This property is NOT where it shows on the map, it is 10 minutes down the street and not in the village of Comporta. There is only one AC unit, and the bedrooms get very hot. The house was not clean upon arrival and the cleaning people were still there. The microwave didn't work either. I am still waiting for my refund. The management company is difficult to work with and communicate with. Cute pool though. "
