"Host there to welcome us when we arrived. He helped to carry in the luggage and showed us how the hot water and heating worked. Amenities were ideal with breakfast food items included plus a bottle of Prosecco and shortbread as a thoughtful Christmas gift. The property had been decorated for Christmas - another kind and thoughtful touch. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. "The property was steeped in History and appeared a lot of money and work had gone in to renovation although perhaps could consider some work be attended to the state of the rooms?..suggest safety rails around the bath ..integrated radio within the TV?....CLEAR signs to direct guests to the restaurants and Bar....while strict attention was given to guests needs we felt a little rushed in having our evening meal ..?consider more time if possible and thoughts on a "Brunch" menu? otherwise the staff were most helpful ..supportive and very Professional (although there did seem some confusion over the booking process especially as I had received 4 e -mails which concerned me bit was resolved eventually)...will definitely recommend family n friends and all being well will book again ..thank you to you all ..oh and enjoyed jacuzzi and swim!!!!..meals delicious"

"The property was supper air con was a good thing as both run hot I didn’t get to use facilities as forgot our swimming things didn’t stay for breakfast as my son is less than 5 mins away has breakfast at his . If returning to Northampton will definitely book again but not on top floor please as my husband is unwell and suffers trying to get upstairs so room close to the ground floor please you didn’t one this so we should have asked. For room downstairs . Thank you"

"Room and bathroom was clean, a bit small for a family room. once the sofa bed was made up we couldn’t use the chairs with coffee table. The linen and towels weren’t refreshed and just folded and put back for re-use which we didn’t like at all. The bed was “made” but not cleaned before tidying it. Please keep an eye on both of these if you are fussed about the “hotel” experience. Our room was not hoovered during our stay. Paid a premium price for a 4 star local hotel, then we paid extra for parking which really should have been free for guests staying more than 2 nights at least! Parking is onsite and leads straight into reception which was good. Lots of places to eat on the hotels doorstep. However, it was extremely noisy until late at night. We were woken up very early on our first morning, to the loud sounds of scaffolding being removed from the front of the Hotel. There was no pre-warning of this noise pollution and they could have started later than 7 in the morning to remove it! That was very annoying. The hotel was nice but only for 1/2 nights because of the noise and cleaning issues."
