"I’ve never experienced a better staff than these wonderful people at the Altamar, my girlfriend and I had such a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful scenery, beach, pool and food! The staff surprised us on numerous occasions with a romantic dinner table and breakfast table outside with candles and beanbags! Learn more about Matnog

Pink sand beaches and crystal-clear waters await at Subic Beach, where island hopping tours reveal hidden coves and snorkeling spots. Take a boat to Tikling Island for pristine white sand beaches or explore the mangrove forests along Matnog's protected coastline.

One of the best beaches we have visited in the Philippines. The sand is white and pink and powdery. To get to the island, you need to hire a boat from the Port of Matnog. The boat will take you island hopping. One of the stops is a fish sanctuary. And your final destination is the Subic Beach on the Calintaan Island - where you can stay overnight or stay for the day. Your boat will pick you up and take you back to the port. We rented a room by the beach, some opted to hire a tent. This might not be the same next time we go back as there are rumours that a big resort bought a piece of the island. #Philippines #islandlife #beach #endlesssummer

For travelers looking for a quintessential island experience, staying on Tikling Island is an excellent choice. This small island is famous for its pinkish sand beach and clear waters, offering a secluded and picturesque setting. Accommodations here are typically simpler, focusing on natural beauty and tranquility, ideal for couples seeking a peaceful retreat.

The best time to go to Matnog is during the dry season, which runs from March to May, for optimal weather conditions for island hopping and beach activities.

During these months, you can expect sunny days and calmer seas, making it ideal for visiting Subic Beach and exploring the other islands in the area. This period is particularly good for families looking to enjoy the beaches and water with minimal disruption from rain.

The shoulder months of February and June also offer good weather with fewer crowds, which can be appealing to couples seeking a more tranquil experience.
