Top Moldovenesti Hotel Reviews

Hampton by Hilton Cluj-Napoca

Hampton by Hilton Cluj-Napoca

8/10 Good
"Hampton by Hilton is a modern, relatively new hotel situated within walking distance from the city center. The room was spacious and clean. The mattress was medium firm. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was adequate. Parking costs 60 RON per night. The only thing I missed was a shoehorn in the room. When I mentioned this at reception they did not bother. All other staff were welcoming and helpful. No restaurant on premises but there is one really close, with decent food and good service. I recommend using taxis throughout Cluj/Kolozsvár; they are really cheap and fast."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Moldovenesti?
The best area to stay in Moldovenesti is the central village area, particularly around the main road, DJ 107M, for convenient access to local amenities and the surrounding natural beauty.

This central part of Moldovenesti offers a practical base for exploring the region. You'll find a few local shops and eateries here, making it easy to pick up essentials or enjoy a meal. The area is characterized by traditional homes and a more relaxed pace of life, typical of a rural Romanian village.

For solo travelers or couples seeking an authentic rural experience, staying within the village itself provides a good connection to local life. It's a convenient starting point for walks or drives into the nearby Trascau Mountains and the unique geological formations of the Cheile Turzii (Turda Gorge), which is a short drive away.

Travelers looking for a peaceful retreat might consider accommodations slightly outside the immediate village center, often found on the outskirts.
When is the best time to go to Moldovenesti?
The best time to visit Moldovenesti is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is most pleasant for exploring the region.

During these months, you'll experience mild temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and visiting the nearby Apuseni Mountains. The countryside is particularly picturesque in spring with blooming wildflowers and in autumn with colorful foliage, providing excellent opportunities for photography and leisurely drives.
