We spent 1 week in Joanne & Karl's amazing Villa close to Montecatini and this is our result:
First of all it's important to know, that the Villa is little cut off to Montecatini, but surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Tuscany. To reach the Villa you have to take a 2 km long gravel sideroad (of the main road to / off Montecatini) and follow the sign "podere torri". This is quite a challenge for your car and the driver, so be careful. Now this could be mentioned as a negative aspect, it doesn't bothered us at all.
As soon as we arrived, we were overpowered by the beauty of the villa and the amazing view's over the Tuscany landscape you will have from almost every spot on the property! Especilly the view from the pool and the dinning table outside are perfect and could be on a postcard. The whole outside area (pool, garden, terrace, stone grill, etc.) is in a very good shape and it's a plasure to enjoy it. Just consider: As you are part of the Tuscany nature, of cause their are bugs, ants, bees, mosquitos and so on; prepare yourself.
The interior of the villa is aswell very high standart and the detail's are chosen with a good taste. You will find 3 double bed room's in the first floor (one including a crip) and 2 beautiful restroom's kept in marble. On the ground floor you will find a study room which can be used as extra bedroom (including a sofa bed) with seperat standart restroom. Depending on the relationship status of the residents, i recommend to use the villa within a maximum of 4 couples (8 adults).
Bringing me to the next highlight: the kitchen. It was a pleausre to prepare our food for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hugh and noble kitchen. It is close connected to the terrace were we used to sit together for a while and enjoyed ur meals.
For visiting all the tuscany city's like - Florance, Siena, Pisa - Montecatini is a good destination (1 hour by car). The smaller city's like Montecatini, Volterra, San Gimignano (which we prefare) are very close.
All in all we had a wonderful time in the villa and the whole Tuscany; thanks again.
By the way: I recommend to update the Picture's on the annoucment to high quality, because the reality looks way better. Or maybe add some short video's :)
