WORST stay hands down. I'm not one to give negative reviews, I prefer to spread positivity. But this place was gross, and I felt seriously tricked into renting a room. The pictures made it look much nicer. First, the door to the room was damaged and screws were filling out, I had to use my thumb nail to try to get them back on. Secondly the floor was warped and peeling up (cheap hardwood). The towels had holes in them. The pool water was as cold as the ocean!! 4 families came in and we all squeezed into the hot tub because the pool was just too cold. The shower to wash off before getting in the pool had no handle. The sauna was broken, and the plastic walls around the pool was falling off and nearly on the floor. It just felt dirty. There were electrical strips loaded up and stretched to make plug ins work. There is just so much. Bottom line, enter at your own risk.

Immaculately clean, I really enjoyed the view and sound of the ocean. There were some minor odd architectural details and oversights (no door on the closet; the two lamps on the side tables had very different colors of light bulb). Housekeeping had left the heat running in the room (it was very warm for the coast, about 80 degrees), and the room had to be nearly 90 degrees, so it took an hour for it to cool down. Despite these minor "glitches", I would definitely stay there again. Good value for the price in a no-frills hotel.

I was awoken at midnight to degenerate women in the room next to mine cussing/yelling loudly at one another. I called the hotel number, like the guide book says to do if there are noise disturbances, and there is no one to answer the call because it’s “after hours”. Finally called law enforcement and the idiots were shut up. The “heated” indoor pool is ice cold. I saw reviews from months ago saying the same thing, so clearly they don’t care to fix it. The pool bathrooms are gross. The room didn’t have blackout drapes, so the room was bright day/night (giant lamp outside illuminating the room all night), which made sleep crumby for me and my toddler. The bed and pillows are not comfortable. The breakfast is subpar. Just spend the extra money and stay somewhere decent.

This is an older hotel, but appears the be updated. Excellent for a place to sleep. There was no phone or hair dryer in the room. Pool was super cold. Sauna and vending machine were out of order. Only were provided 3 towels for a room that sleeps 4. When asked if we could get more, was told they were out. Never have heard this from a hotel. No elevator. If you are on the 3rd floor, you will need to go up 2 flights of stairs. If you walk to Nye Beach, be prepared to walk down a steep hill and go back up it on your way back.

We stayed here and based on the pictures it seemed like it was going to be cleaner, however it was not. The floors were very dusty and dirty and had not been cleaned. There was no fan in the room/bathroom to suck moisture out so it was very humid and there were obvious signs of water damage and water drips down the walls. The light fixture in the bathroom was open so you could see into the ceiling and it was caked with dust which felt very unsanitary. There was no hand soap provided. Baseboards and walls were dirty and dusty (I cleaned them myself) and the fabric chairs in the room were noticeably filthy with brown spots. Over all very disappointed in the cleanliness of this hotel. It was nice that it was in walking distance to Downtown Nye Beach, but we will not be returning unless some serious changes are made.

The staff were nice the Gal that checked us in top notch. They had some gentlemen working the weekend that seemed as if they could not care less about the people staying at the motel. They would not provide towels the pool was freezing and not well kept seemed like for 400 for two nights they could manage to keep the place up a bit better. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and sneed as if it was at least 20 years old. Perhaps it was just the room we stayed in but I would find a different hotel in Newport if you want a nice place.

The staff was underwhelming. The Person checking me in different even know where my room was located. The “continental breakfast” seemed to be out of everything or out of order. The water pressure was poor. When taking a shower, the hot water and cold water would take turns appearing. The ocean view rooms were on the 3rd floor, no stairs. Beach access was very close! There’s even a foot rinse by the stairs going to the beach. Shops and restaurants were just a short walk. With everything I said, I’d stay there again because the price was great!
