"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. "This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"Loved the room, nice and airy, big fan supplied for the heat. Very picturesque surroundings, beside a cool babbling stream with plenty of shade and colourful plants. Excellent internet connection. Bit of a surprise there was no restaurant, only a small bar area above the leisure facilities, however there was provision in the room to heat with a microwave and crockery and cutlery to suit bringing a takeaway back. Would have preferred specific warning on the website so I could have arrived prepared. Will certainly return later in the year, as facilities were so good and location great for North Cornwall/Devon area exploring."

"This is annokd hotel maintained beautifully. The staff was very helpful. Taking the time to find me a room near the elevator which i really appreciated. I woukd not however recommend eating at thur restaurant, called the bank . I waited iver an hour, with noone advising me of the wait- and then the pork belly was dry and stringy- some parts inedible. To their credit tho they did not charge me for the meal. Its in the old part of town which also was nice."

"We arrived at the Sawmills having made a last minute booking. On arrival we noticed the room was immaculately clean. Despite our booking being a dog friendly room, there wasn't a dog hair in site. Theo and the team couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. We had a lovely evening meal and drinks in the garden, slept like logs and then an amazing breakfast next morning. Worth every penny of the incredibly low price we paid. We will certainly be back and hopefully stay a little longer next time. Thanks for making our wedding anniversary a very special one ❤️"
