“I stayed at Diane’s small cottage in Louisville with my friend and it was absolutely perfect for us. The place was quaint, clean, and beautifully designed. You can tell a lot of thought went into the interior. The location couldn’t have been better: just 10 minutes from downtown, 15 minutes from a major shopping mall, and right on the water. It was so peaceful and serene, a wonderful spot to relax after work.Diane was a fantastic host, very kind, responsive, and flexible with our check-in time.……

“The checkin & checkout processes cannot be beat-the ease earned them 5 stars. The views and ambiance are calming, so it’s easy to relax. The historical integrity of the home is evident in every room, and it was fun to explore. We stayed with 8 people, so having two separate living rooms/dining areas/kitchens was wonderful! Owner was very communicative and personable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an easy and relaxing experience!”

“It was quick drive to derby. Loved the cute neighborhood. Mexican restaurant was great and so was coffee shop! Bed was comfortable we got a good night sleep. Kitchen was big and had everything.”

“The Captain’s Cabin was charming, beautifully decorated, and VERY comfy! Jan and Tammy certainly went above and beyond with communication and treats including Christmas cookies! Our stay was just an overnight so we did not get a chance to appreciate the outdoor activities that the cabin grounds allowed (lake, stream, canoeing)…. Maybe we need a return trip?We would highly recommend the Captain’s Cabin. Beautifully maintained, very clean, well appointed, and it is just like sleeping in a movie……

“The VRBO was perfect. Has the elegant modern feel just like the pictures show and has lots of space to hang out and relax. Loved the location and how walkable it was to coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Loved staying here and highly recommend!”

“The place was very clean. The mattress was squeaky and soft so we kept rolling to the middle. A piece of tape could be put over the super bright flashing light on the sensor above the bed but the location was great and the host was fantastic. ”

“Very clean. Loved the tub. Nice to have owners close/on site. Much better than dealing with a "rental company". Very spacious without feeling like wasted space. Just and FYI, if you're coming in winter, pay attention to the weather. The driveway can be a little dicey with snow. ”
