The 2016 Lake of Stars music festival was held at Chintheche Inn in Nkhata Bay on Lake Malawi. Every morning the sun rises above the lake, turning the sky pink and gold. Worth getting up at 5am for.

"Place was very quiet as it was low season when we stayed. Very helpful staff, friendly atmosphere. Food simple but fine. Would stay again. Good value room, breakfast and coffee a bit overpriced"

"Beautiful, quiet property. The staff were extremely accommodating. The food was delicious (I recommend the spaghetti bolognese!). It is about a 25 minute walk to downtown which wasn’t a problem for us. "

"The property is has the benefit of a fantastic location, good staff and good catering provision. Structurally, accommodations provide a bare minimum, sparsely maintained buildings with poor logistical infrastructure getting to the rooms. "
