"Loved our stay. The self-catering accommodation was extremely clean and beds very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.
The bar area we attended in the evenings was a little tired and could have done with a refurb. The entertainment was a bit basic but kids enjoyed it.
The location was a bit remote but we enjoyed exploring the area and it was very quiet at night."
"We had another really enjoyable stay and would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is exceptionally clean, modern and feels very new. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and our room was excellent, with a really comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep.
The coffee station on each floor is a great idea, although I found it quite confusing to use. Having to go out into the corridor at all hours to get a drink also put me off using it, especially as the machine wasn’t particularly straightforward.
The restaurant staff were friendly, but things did feel a little calamitous at times, which was also our experience last year. Hopefully this is something that can improve.
One thing I was particularly pleased to discover was that the hotel accepts the Blue Light Card. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this out until my last drink of the evening, so it would be great if this could be made more obvious to guests on arrival.
Overall, we had a great stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable and modern, and despite the few small issues, we will definitely be returning."
"A different take on a traditional hotel. Modern and nice interior features. 1st impressions were good.
Greeted on arrival. Check in was smooth and easy. Advised on how to use the lift with key card and breakfast. Offered an option to dine in and a welcome drink.
Room was generally clean. We found a long hair in the shower and the bathroom generally smelt of sewage but felt it was coming from the drains. As soon as you ran some water it subsided and with the the door shut you couldn’t smell it in the rest of the room.
Welcome message on the TV was a nice touch and the atmosphere of the room was good.
Bed was for us way too soft. This did affect our general sleep.
Breakfast was efficient and was well done.
Overall we felt it was good value and would stay at the Moxy again.
The surrounding area of the hotel aren’t the best but this isn’t the hotels fault.
Staff were also great."
