This is a nice little motel. It is reasonable, clean and the staff are great, especially, Mike, who cooks great bacon and eggs! The pool is clean and the place is quiet. We stayed for three nights while we toured the area, and would highly recommend a stay at the Mermaid Inn.

We really liked the waiter Tony in the dining room. He went above what one would expect to make your dining experience pleasant. We liked the heat pumps in the cottage.

The bathroom was rough - corners dirty, tile ungrouted, just felt unclean. The curtain into the nook for our kids (acting like a door) was dirty- I wouldn’t let my kids touch it. It wasn’t worth the over $300 we paid. We won’t stay again

My room was quite a distance away from the lobby - a bit of a maze to find it. My key card didn't work on the two closest exterior entry points so had to navigate the hallways again after check in to reach my vehicle in the parking lot. As a senior and after a full day of airport travel from western Canada, it was inconvenient.

"To enter the lobby, there were 4 steep concrete steps to climb. Challenging with luggage, but it is designated a historic property, so it can't be changed. After taking the elevator to the third floor, we needed to go up 2 more carpeted stairs, go 5 feet and then 3 carpeted stairs down. Just to let ..."
