“The host, Larry, was very quick to reply and helpful. The location was close to town but not too close, offering peace and quiet and more of a rural feel. The parking was perfect. More detailed instructions for the fire table, hot tub, and appliances would have been helpful and not required so many questions to ask of the host. Extra bed linens would have been appreciated. Instructions regarding recycling would have been helpful. ”

“What a beautiful and peaceful retreat in the trees! The Hobbit House is surrounded by towering pines, offering a quiet unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Through the trees, the ocean views are absolutely stunning — especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s just a short walk down to the water, where we were greeted by a family of deer and watched golden squirrels scurrying about. The sense of calm and connection with nature here is something truly special.The restaurants in Eastsound were also……

“Property was everything advertised and more. Such a warm and lovely home that was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The location was convenient to many areas and activities of the Island. The windows in every room brought in the natural beauty of the forest. Linens were plentiful and starter supplies were appreciated. We will lease this property again when on the Island. ”

“Kitchen was adequate- we ate out mostly and did not cook in the house. The coffee maker is updated compared to what we saw in the photos- we would have brought K-cups! The house was pet-friendly, but there is no grass. We had to walk up the driveway bit to find "grass" for our finicky dogs. The view is STUNNING and location was perfect for getting around the island. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. ”
