The pool is gorgeous, the surroundings are lush and beautifully green, and the peaceful setting near the beach makes it especially ideal for couples looking to slow down and unwind. We also loved the thoughtful Valentine’s décor — such a sweet touch — and the convenience of being able to rent motorbikes to explore the island. A gentle note for fellow travelers: this is a more rural and naturally preserved part of Bohol, which is part of its magic. The local community is genuinely kind and welcoming, and visiting with respect, patience, and appreciation for the environment helps keep it that way. Me and my group really enjoyed the atmosphere. The hosts were super attentive, organizing rides for us wherever we needed and constantly changing out waters and beach towels. Not only are the rooms spacious, clean and spotless, the staff are all very friendly, very accommodating and always ready to assist. There's also a pool if you feel like going for a quick dip. Thistle Inn can be classed as a small boutique accommodation away from but accessible to the busy tourist areas. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and everything you need is there. They had slippers & bathrobes, shower & swimming towels, a refrigerator and safe. You can rent a scooter if you like as well. It's only a 5 minute drive to the beach & the area is quiet. We will be back for sure.
