The fact that is an old building and old business establishment doesn’t meat it can’t look better and cleaner.

Have had 4 weekends stays here since Xmas and have always been happy for the money paid. I've twice had minor problems with a blocked sink, but I've always had A/C's that worked well, fridges that worked well and froze water and very clean rooms. Rare features in budget hotels these days. And the hotel and grounds are always clean and tidy.

Receptionist was awesome

The room was comfortable, the bed was very firm though. There was no door on the ensuite and the window glass did not cover the whole window, nor was there a blind to cover it, so sound, the weather and light couldn't be blocked. Overall it was fine for our one night stay.
