The walkway, along some of New Zealand North Island's most breath-taking coastline, also features tracks across beautiful farmland. The track connects Stony Bay and Fletcher Bay and takes 3-4 hours. You can walk in either direction but take into account the time to get there and back. Alternatively there are organised walks available that include transport from Coromandel and pick up at the other end of the track.

"We had a great stay here. Mostly ideal for a smaller family (the two teens with us had to argue over who would sleep in the little bunk bed while the other got a double.) The house is a bit creaky—when you open a door here it makes a noise over there etc—but the lounge doors open wide for a hot day, there’s a spacious deck and a private shared path to the beach reserve. Holiday win. We’d definitely come back."
