There is a common building where a burger restaurant was being built (it’s now open). There is also a pool that looked amazing but it was too cold to enjoy when we stayed. Very unique property with a Route 66 vibe. We had a wonderful stay at The Lone Ranger RV Park & Lodge in Ranger, Texas. The property was very clean, well-kept, and had a cool vintage atmosphere, especially knowing the original lodge was built in the 1930s. It really adds to the charm of the place. The staff was friendly and helpful, making check-in and our entire visit easy and enjoyable. A bonus highlight of the trip was driving about 10 minutes to Mary’s in Strawn for their famous Chicken Fried Steak from the Texas Bucket List—it absolutely lived up to the hype! Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely come back. Loved the cabin! It was cozy and cute and perfect for our needs. We forgot a few things because it is a cabin and not a hotel and I wasn’t thinking but there’s a Walmart about 15 minutes away so it all worked out. That being said, don’t forget pool towels and utensils. The location is right off the interstate so it is conveniently located but it is laid back and quiet. There was a very nice office/community area with a pool table. And it looks like they have some great amenities in the works. The pool was our favorite part and just a couple steps outside the back door of the cabin.
