A few notable things to consider before you book:
Our location is not for everyone. If you’re looking for a party/resort atmosphere, we respectfully suggest you consider a different destination. We’re in a quiet forested area with private lake. We do our best to minimize impacts to the surrounding nature and ask guests to maintain outdoor quiet hours from 9 pm - 9 am. Parties, Drugs, Loud music will not be tolerated. No pets or emotional support animals.
The loft area of the A-frame is accessed by a ships ladder style stair. This is a steep staircase that may not be suitable for all individuals. Please use discretion and 3-points of contact when using.
Enjoying the Northern woods of Minnesota is not without a few pests. Mosquitos, Poison Ivy and Ticks can be common. We recommend a good mosquito repellant that uses DEET especially if you’re going to be outdoors on overcast days or twilight hours. Mosquitoes’ populations fluctuate greatly from year to year and are typically the worst in the early evening. Close Windows and doors to prevent letting them in in the evening and plan outdoor times accordingly.
Ticks and Poison Ivy can be best avoided by staying on trails and away from dense vegetation. Ticks are worst in the Spring. A quick check after an outdoor hike or at bedtime is always a good idea.
