We had a combination work/vacation, and the Lighthouse was perfect for both. We highly recommend this unusually designed, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully located house. I saw eagles, herons, and other amazing birds; the sunrise and sunset was lovely (a rainbow at sunrise -- magical!) and the three of us had a great time with lots of room to hang out and have some time apart. We wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the house and the area! In addition to being a really interesting house, it was comfortable and fully loaded with amenities. The linens and towels were abundant and clean; and the kitchen had everything you could want in a home away from Home. The hosts left detailed information and were very communicative when we had questions. We enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse while our daughter’s wedding was at Haven Harbour. The house was well equipped, very clean and gave our family a great setup for getting ready for a wedding with separate bedrooms and baths. The elevator came in handy carrying items into the house. Although it rained most of the time, it was a cozy place to play games, watch football, and reconnect with family. The home is spotless and the kitchen is very well stocked (although we didn’t cook). Maybe we missed it, but we had a hard time figuring out the TV- instructions would have been great. I really appreciated the elevator as the living space is on the top floor. We had dinner at the Blue Heron down the street which had great food and a good atmosphere for groups with young children, and the pizza from Rock City was great.
