“What a great place! We had a large group of 14-16 adults, 6 kids 2y-4y, and a 9y and 11y. Ample room for everyone to sleep and spread out! The pool was the center point hangout for the kids! My dad and brother enjoyed fishing with a couple of the grands and great grands. Beautiful right on the lake! The kitchen and common area were good places for all to gather, laugh, play games, and just talk. The kitchen itself was sparse on supplies but we made it work. The hot tub was pretty dirty so we……

“First...the place was awesome, loved the apartment. Very nice, really neat, and in a cool area. In town for a baseball tournament, this was much better than a hotel room, and the price was better. Only a couple of hiccups one was a typo in the email about checking in, which was no big deal...had to wait at the door for about 10 min to get in. The biggest concern, which has nothing to do with the stay or the room...when we were leaving (checking out) found that our vehicle had been hit by a hit……

Our kids (ages 5-11) loved the cozy matching bedspreads, comfy couch, indoor & outdoor games, and the path down to the river. They also loved the novelty of bunking/eating/hanging out together in one large room. Mom loved the well stocked kitchen for cooking big meals and dining in all together. There was plenty of seating and table service……

“The property is the most unique place we have ever stayed in! There’s way more room than most hotel rooms! The walk-in shower with rain head had just enough pressure! The Red Caboose is perfectly located to literally EVERYTHING! The accommodations were very surprising and extremely comfortable! Immediate responses from the owner/caretaker via text. “What a cool property. Train theme stained glass windows were beautiful. Very clean and well appointed. Had fun with theater room and ping pong table. Wish we could have stayed longer.”

“We came in town for a hair class. Thought we would be able to walk to places to eat from the property but we could not. We were able to get an Uber, so that was nice. The house was set up differently than expected but it worked. It is a very drafty old house and the upstairs got FREEZING. The couch is not comfortable at all and I would not have wanted to sleep on it. There are no extras at this rental at all. Make sure to bring your own body wash. It also smells like pets.”
