"The hotel is first rate. We had balcony rooms on the second floor and they were large (almost suites) with beautiful bathrooms. The hotel was still very lush even in mid-October. The restaurant is the real gem of the property. It firmly deserves it's one Michelin star. We did have dinner there one night and though expensive it was one of the 3 best meals I have ever eaten. "We had an absolutely delightful stay here. We wanted our kids to have the experience of staying within the walls of a medieval castle instead of a typical place and we loved it. I am recommending this place to all my friends. The first surprise was how modern the bathroom was, nicer than any of the bathrooms in the hotels we stayed at the rest of our trip. "We stayed at La Bastide Gourmande with my family for 4 nights. The new owners Antoine and Ilham have some an amazing job renovating and upgrading the hotel. They were super helpful and friendly. We will for sure return here with the family, and hopefully sometimes also only the adults, as the hotel is also a nice romantic little hideout. "
