“The host is incredibly lovely, helpful & hard-working. The property is wonderful with great views & outdoor area to enjoy breakfast & relax after a long day sightseeing. The breakfast provided was extensive and delicious. The shower was great & was always hot. The bed was so so comfortable, not rock hard like other beds I have experienced in Italy. It’s outside the city walls but only a 10 minute walk uphill or downhill to & from Porta Maggiore or a couple more around to the escalator & lift up……

“We had to make a last minute change to this property from one we had in San Gimignano, and we are delighted that it worked out that way. The property is super relaxing and the staff made our stay memorable. The owner/on-site chef made a fabulous 3 course meal for dinner, plus dessert, and breakfast was simply perfect If you do not have a car and anticipate hiring a taxi, I advise that you set up the taxi in advance and the owners will be happy to provide a number for you. The only issue was finding the property. To be fair, La Casella provided very clear directions and specifically advised us not to rely on GPS.
