“Located on a quiet street 5mins from the main “thoroughfares” of the old Pingyao, this gem of a hotel is like stepping into history. The courtyards and rooms look like the must have been hundreds of years ago. Rooms are very clean and discreetly fitted with modern amenities; no plastic decorations! Staff speak passable to good English.”

“Great place to stay in Taiyuan. All the rooms are on the upper floors of a tower block - ours had a great view over the busy city to a lake and distant mountains (when the smog cleared!) The facilities of the hotel are top class and there's an excellent Chinese restaurant - great choice of delicious food at reasonable prices. On the other hand the breakfast wasn't particularly good value.”
