“A huge family room with vaulted ceiling, with lots of space. However, it had almost zero ventilation apart from a tiny window, stained carpets, tatty headboards, very old mattresses and exposed wiring. It really felt like a forgotten room though it was advertised as ‘Superior’. Food and bar was ok and the pool was fine, but again, needed some TLC. It was a cheap stay but hoped for slightly better.”

“Everything was fine but the wet room was not in the best condition. There was metallic rust on a bar in the bathroom and strains between the tiles near the shower head and part of another wall there. The wet room needs repair ultimately. Also the remote control for the TV had a whole at the bar and putting black electrical or insulation tape to cover it didn't help as it kept moving slipping away from the whole when handing the remote control to change channels. Please look into this for that……

“Our room was excellent. Spacious, large ensuite. Breakfast was great, really nice. The car parking can't be reserved, it's a working pub. We did okay though on an August weekend. We really liked the whole village, explore it.”

“As a place to stay it was okay. There was no restaurant as it is being renovated, luckily there was a good Indian restaurant virtually opposite. Parking is £3 per 24 hours unless included in your booking. Breakfast was okay but mainly carbs. Would I stay there again probably not”
