“The house sits behind a small Liquor store so it's hard to see from the street as it's set back but the view of the lake is beautiful. Appliances could use an update and there are some repairs needed like the tub/shower and a loose board on the porch. The bedrooms were simple and beautiful with views of the water.”

“In the summer, this place is probably great as the other reviews have indicated. However, I would strongly recommend not staying here in the winter. The temperature fluctuated too much to be comfortable, the lighting is glaring blue fluorescent overheads with no bedroom lamps in either room. The bed was made with a top sheet and a summer quilt with no extra blankets in the building. When we asked for more blankets, the owner brought one old throw blanket for our family of five. “We stayed for the night for our 11th wedding anniversary. Holly is an amazing host, as soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed and given a tour of Cowboy town along with how it came to be. Then shown our cabin which was so beautiful. It was quiet and private, there was a wedding the next day and even the preparation for that did not interfere with our stay. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice private escape. Thank you Holly”

“If you want to camp and have a camping experience, then this is the perfect spot! Lots of animals to see between the owner's horses and cats. The kitchen and bathroom are both shared spaces, not with the owners, but with the multiple other cabins on the property. So you are not super secluded from other people. We went in October, and the outdoor shower did not have hot water, so it was a rather cold shower. Holly, the owner, did say that they are going to replace the water heater soon, but……
