Small town, roughly 20 minutes drive from Prague with an amazing family brewery Berounsky Medved. Modern brewing history goes back to 1871 in the town of Beroun but ended in 1978. Over 20 years later, the Mayer family renewed the tradition by opening a brewery for the true beer lover. This isn't a fancy joint, it's a place for those who love good beer, good friends and good times. The brewery’s location might take most by surprise, as it is to be found in an abandoned industrial estate. Although the area has a slightly dubious feel to it, the brewery itself is bright, cheerful and family friendly. There is also a collection of old tanks outside, because why not? Twice a year is a larger potter and craft fair in the town of Beroun where you'll find the beer for sale on the square. Getting there: The town of Beroun is a pleasant train ride through a river basin with stunning landscapes and a castle or two. Trains depart from both Prague's main station and Prague Smichov station (reachable by the yellow metro line). The commuter trains (Os) take around 50 minutes while the fast train (R) is around 35 min. If you would like to stop at the famous Karlstejn castle on the way there or back, take the commuter train because the fast trains don't stop there. The Karlstejn stop is easy to tell because that's where everybody with a camera gets off. From there, Beron two more stops. Once at the train station, walk out the front door and turn left and follow the signs to the brewery. There are a few twists and turns, but walk into the courtyard of the industrial area and you are there! La Plaza de la Ciudad Vieja (Staroměstské Náměstí) fue en su momento el próspero centro de Praga. 2. Castillo de Praga

El Castillo de Praga (Pražský Hrad) es la atracción más representativa de la ciudad. Es uno de los castillos más grandes del mundo y ha sido declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad. El castillo encierra más de 1,100 años de historia y arquitectura dentro de sus muros y fue hogar de reyes bohemios, emperadores romano-germánicos y presidentes checoslovacos. 3. Reloj astronómico de Praga

En la pared sur del Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad Vieja está instalado uno de los relojes astronómicos más antiguos del mundo y que aún funciona: el Pražský Orloj o Reloj Astronómico en checo. Inaugurado en 1410, con frecuencia ha dejado de funcionar y su mecanismo ha sido reparado varias veces. Por fortuna se ha salvado de la destrucción, e incluso ha sido mejorado con la añadidura de figuras simbólicas, así que sigue dando la hora hoy en día. Y, lo que es mejor aún, ¡cada hora cobra vida!

4. Plaza de Wenceslao

En el corazón de la Ciudad Nueva de Praga se encuentra un bulevar de 750 metros (2,460 pies) de longitud, Plaza Wenceslao (Václavské Náměstí). Visita este importante lugar para los habitantes locales y disfruta sus construcciones modernas. 5. Puente de Carlos

El histórico Puente de Carlos (Karlův Most) fue el único cruce entre las zonas este y oeste de Praga durante siglos. El puente ha sido una vía pública muy transitada desde que se construyó. A principios del siglo XX se permitía el paso de vehículos por el puente, pero hoy en día está prohibido. 6. Casa danzante
