I love the hotel, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is great, in the center of town with many tour locations within walking distance. The problem was that on Friday and Saturday nights the street was turning into a young adult party area with load cars and loud music all night long. Very disappointing since we stayed here last year and it was much quieter and restful.

Adventurous hike up to this waterfall. The hike is called Glymur. We had to walk through knee high water, jump rocks, use ropes to climb up steep cliffs, cross multiple rivers, walk on side of cliffs using narrow pathways, and walk through slippery mountain sides. Well worth it and made it even more exciting of a hike. I would suggest going here when visiting Iceland. It's approximately 1 hour and a half from Reykjavik. I took this photo while I was sitting on the side of a cliff overlooking the waterfall. Birds were flying side to side to their nests. Iceland's skies and landscapes were everything I'd hoped they'd be. Maybe the weather could have been warmer as it was Summer after all! Iceland's roads are easy to navigate and you can certainly circumnavigate the island even on a short holiday.
