“Really great hotel in a perfect location... Our room was perfect, clean, large & well furnished. Bed, linen & towels all freshly laundered. Evening meal was well presented with lovely fresh local products. The menu and choices were very varied. ( Maybe not too much choice if you dont eat red meat. ) The dining room is well set out and in the summer months would be lovely to be able to sit outside ( we visited January 2026 ) The breakfast menu was equally charming and a difficult decision……

“We had a lovely stay at The Rutland Arms Hotel. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Bakewell and ideal for exploring the town and surrounding Peak District. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and healthy ingredients. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and we would happily stay here again”

“Great overnight spa break. Visited last year and after spotting a great deal booked again. Did the sunrise spa which although means an early start is the cheapest option and the least busy. We have done the twilight spa before and highly recommend both. Very comfortable bed and nice furnishings. Good shower. Great breakfast with quality sausages!!! Has an excellent selection. All the staff are friendly and will go the extra mile to help. ”
