Room was relatively clean but smelt of smoke. It’s recently been refurbished but the smell is still there. Window also wouldn’t close. Shower was nice and check in easy as no reception as just use a code. Wouldn’t stay there again.

The service from check in to check out, dinner amazing!!! The hotel room was old, dated and not up to my standards

The room initially seemed lovely and spacious, so unfortunately what followed was really disappointing. As soon as the bathroom door was opened, there was a very noticeable smell of poo, which obviously wasn’t a great start. The curtains also appeared to be hanging on some sort of makeshift rail, and when I tried to close them, they actually fell down. Not ideal when you’re trying to keep the morning light out and get some sleep. There was also a movement-activated light leading to the bathroom. I can see the idea behind it and, in theory, it’s useful. In reality, it was incredibly annoying. Every time I moved my leg in bed, the dog moved, or there was any movement during the night, the light came on. Between that and the curtain situation, I hardly slept. Unfortunately, the food was atrocious. Breakfast the following morning was particularly bad. I ordered the sausage patty and it was so unbelievably salty that it genuinely tasted as though someone had dropped the entire salt pot into it. My mouth tasted like I’d swallowed seawater. The staff were, on the whole, helpful, and I have no particular complaint about the service. However, for the price we paid, the overall experience was simply nowhere near good enough. A spacious room doesn’t make up for unpleasant smells, curtains falling down, lights repeatedly waking you through the night and genuinely terrible food. I left exhausted and very disappointed. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay again.
