"What to say! This was a last minute booking which totally changed the feel of our trip. A haven of peace and tranquility. Such welcoming friendly staff and owners. Very helpful on the accommodation front. We could not have asked for more. Half an hour'ish walk to the beach through the wetlands or taxis to go further. A very peaceful safe area. Very friendly and very little hassle. An interesting location attracted interesting visitors. Dinner around the large round table in the evening...

Due to an error by Hotels.com not knowing the lodge had new owners our payment had been sent to the previous owners - we are taking this up with Hotels.com as phone number also wrong but given new owners phone numbers. "This hotel is an absolute gem! The rooms are clean and spacious with all seemingly having amazing ocean views. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a bit outside main tourist area, which is fine as reception was able to call taxi or I used 1Bena (Gambia Uber). Highly recommend!"
