"Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Plaza Madeleine Hotel & Spa during our summer stay in Sarlat. Everything about the experience was close to perfect. The hotel’s location could not be better — right in the heart of Sarlat, just steps away from the charming medieval streets, lively markets, and great restaurants. The service was outstanding throughout our stay. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere of the hotel, with its elegant decor and spa facilities, made it the perfect base to explore the beauty of the Dordogne region. Both Sarlat and the surrounding area are simply magnificent — full of history, amazing food, and stunning scenery. We truly loved our time here and would return without hesitation. "Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the IBIS Sarlat. The staff went out of their way to make you feel really welcome and were incredibly helpful making suggestions on places to visit to make your stay memorable. When there was a problem with the TV, in the room, the staff did their utmost to repair it. When they realised they would have to call someone in, to solve the problem, they immediately arranged a move to a much larger room and helped transfer clothing/other possessions. They were like breath of fresh air and are a credit to the hotel chain. The room was also exceptionally clean which was a real treat to see. If only other hotels were like this. The other great thing is the hotel is located directly opposite from one of the better restaurants, in the town, and is only a 10 min stroll to the medieval town centre which is beautiful to walk around. "
