“We travelled to Thatch Cottage for a three night stay for my 50th birthday extravaganza. The communication with our hosts as excellent and the check-in process was simple. “I came with my elderly mother to her favourite retreat, the stay was relaxing and very kept and had beautiful decor. The area was a beautiful spot but the hill is very steep, we we’re aware of the as we’ve been to swanage many times and also Ros advised us before we booked, he was also very helpful to our needs, we found him very approachable. Great place and we would highly recommend it . Well done Ros and thank you”

“Had a really nice time, the apartment was nicer than we expected and was very clean. Host was extremely responsive, we left an item in the property and they have been very accommodating in order to arrange collection of the item.”

“The property is very well located to the beach, town, bus and train station. The house is clean and very comfortable with so many extras like toys and beach items (buckets, spades, crabbing stuff, kites etc) which was a lovely surprise as I packed light! We had great communication from the host and all the house was full of really useful information about surrounding walks and attractions. As a family with young children we found this the perfect place to stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again”

“Home from home with fantastic grounds lots to do for all ages. Swimming pool was amazing the whole family spent hours outside and the teenagers weren't on their phones. We will be back next year hopefully”

“This was a lovely property in a beautiful location. The garden was great for the two dogs that we brought. The host showed us around when we arrived and said if we needed anything just to ring this was comforting. The only slight draw back was it could have been a little cleaner in fact there were a pair of knickers under one of the beds presumably left by a previous tenant!”

“Cute and stylish cottage (we were in the Milking Parlour), easy to find and good location. Cosy for a few days for a couple but the outside space a bit disappointing. Inside the cottage is pretty much exactly as per the photos. It's stylish and cleverly designed for multi-functional self-catering. Even has a dishwasher! Some tea, coffee beans, sugar, milk and olive oil kindly provided. The smart home features for air-con, heating, radio etc take getting used to but are effective. Could do with……

“We had a lovely few days at the apartment. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough to allow us to get out on to the extensive balcony with views of swanage and the sea. All in all, a fine few days.”

“You will hear the sound of wood platform while other guess walking around. This ok to me as I live in a lousy place. It would be a problem for those request absolute quiet.”
