“The property served our needs for a one night stay in Caroga Lake. Finding the place was a bit of a nightmare. We had no wireless service in the area and the host did not provide very good directions. As we had no cell phone service, we could not call the host. We ended up going to the pist office and we were fortunate that a gentleman who was picking up his mail helped direct us to the unit otherwise we would have never found it. “This was my first time booking a property on Vrbo and the whole family (2 teen boys) was just thrilled with our stay. It had all the things we love about camping but didn’t get a chance to do this summer — grilling, sitting around a fire, beautiful riverfront view, tons of room to run around and play frisbee, volleyball, etc. Super cozy and clean inside and stocked with everything we needed. Plus it’s a caboose!! So fun. Chris, the host, was super helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend if……

“The whole experience of staying in a train car was fun. But when I walked in it was better than I could have ever imagined. The decor was on point bringing you back in time. Host was wonderful, space was clean, comfortable and beautiful. I loved that it was right next to the river which was so peaceful to have a cup of morning coffee. “Cons:When we first walked in to the rental the first thing we smelled was the stench of cigarette smoke!!! We bought fragrance spray but didn't work. There were two in window air conditioners that were not sealed. Because of that the rental was infested with mosquitos and other little flying bugs that were attracted to the inside lights and us! We were consistently killing them. Also the ones we we weren't able to kill just died and were laying on the counters, floor and counter tops (bathroom……

“Great experience; we enjoyed the riverside cabin, hot tub, fire pit and local trails. Only con was the bed; we didnt find it very comfy. Thoughtful items strategically placed, such as toothbrush/paste in bathroom(in event u forgot), bug zapper on front porch, etc.”
