“This was a good place overall. The pool outside of our room was awesome (in family section) and the room overall was great. The Bavaro beach was the way to go- great sand and lovely water! If you want to stay on the beach- don’t stay at the family princess section. You need to take a “train” from family section to the beach. “I stayed at Hotel Cortecito Inn Bavaro in Punta Cana from March 28 to April 4, and I was disappointed.
The front desk was the biggest problem. One staff member, a black lady, was rude—no greeting, no smile—and insisted check-in was 2 pm even though my booking said 1 pm. The hotel also asks for your passport or ID at check-in. I refused to leave my Canadian passport and had to provide another ID. Javier at the front desk, however, was very helpful and professional.
