“One night beifre getting the train home.
Recommend the carrpark even if it is a 5 minute walk away through another hotel lobby and an extra 20 euros. The town is very busy and ckngested lots of resident parking
Theres a bakery 20m away for a quick and cheaper breakfast .”
“Review hôtel Wimereux
I barely knew anything about this hotel when I booked it. Its very hard to find a room for a 3 person family. Inwas just happy to have found somewhere affordable we could spend the night before heading to Ireland. It turned out to be brilliant. It’s in the mainstreet of the centre of a little seaside/river side town. 7 minute walk from the beach and boulevard.
We had a clean adorable 4 bed apartment. Our daughter had her own room. The staff were old school hospitality.……
“Really new and very clean. My only issue was that the kids bunk beds made quite a lot of noise when they moved. Very good for the tunnel back to England with useful amenities around it.”
“I need to put context to my score. The building is exquisite. You see tradition seeping through the walls and the way it was restructured into mini suites works incredibly well. The location is also exceptional.
The rest of services are limited but it’s a B&B so it’s totally expected.
But the dust…the dust…was everywhere. In the room in the staircase and in the entrance hall. The breakfast room instead was well cleaned. For a couple of days was fine but imagining to stay for longer would have……
“The location is not very convenient, as there are not many places within walking distance. To get to the city center or the beach, you need to drive. However, the hotel has an underground parking garage, which makes it suitable for guests traveling by car. The bathroom inside the room was quite dark, with only a light above the mirror, so the overall lighting was not sufficient. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming”
“This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. The staff are both professional and friendly. The room we had was in the main building and was decorated in keeping with the building, clean lines and stylish. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious and we also had the breakfast buffet which was good quality and varied. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here.”
“Unfortunately upon check in, the room smelt stale as if someone else aroma was still lingering. The bed has marks all over the sheets aswell as crumbs, I assumed this could just be old marks and crumbs from cleaning person but it was everywhere. I then check under the quilt which had black hairs all across the sheet. The sheets were from the last guest. The floor also hadn’t been swept. I went to reception to explain that I didn’t think the room had been cleaned from the previous guest. Just the……
“Next to the remparts of Boulogne Ville Fortifie and so perfect location.. my room was small and the bed blocked entry. Otherwise a perfectly ok small room in a comfortable hotel. The shower leaked.
Second stay.”
“The room was perfectly adequate for a stopover en route to the Channel Tunnel. Staff at check in were very friendly and accommodating, especially in allowing us to try speaking French so we could practice. The family room is great with a mezzaine above which the kids found fun. Room was clean and tidy, and beds comfortable. Main complaint was it was a little noisy with people walking to and from rooms on the verandah bit but to be fair it was quiet by 10pm. Easy food options next door (we used……
“Le Flobart is a jewel of a find.
Perfect, low-key and characterful. Very clean and comfortable. Windows of our room opened-out to the road below pleasantly busy with the passing locals and to a view of the sea, including the remains of the sea-fort ruins.
Check-in and check-out were effortless.
The long, wide and empty sandy beach is literally just across the street.
We missed enjoying Le Flobart's cuisine this time, but look forward to trying it next time.
For us it is the ideal off-season……
