"The Shangri la lived up to its standards… we stayed with our three and one year old for 7 nights and were made to feel at home, the staff were excellent, they were so friendly and helpful, we stayed in an executive suite which was very spacious and had a typical Shangri la decor which we love, the lobby area is always stand out, a bonus was we had the horizon club lounge access which offers certain drinks and nibbles at dedicated times which was a nice, the infinity pool was great with a lovely view of the grand central mosque, the private beach was nice a clean, the restaurants on site were very good with the buffet offering theme nights as well as a Michelin star Chinese restaurant, the location is good with nothing being out of reach of 20 minutes, there is a souk next door which caters to shopping needs, they offer a abra (boat) ride around the hotel which is relaxing… they also offer water sports on the beach and the concierge is very helpful, we had a fantastic stay to say the least"
